        For a long lifespan of the radiator, water pump, and other components of the cooling system, we always recommend using the correct coolant.<\/p>\n

        For classic Mercedes models, this is usually a blue-green, silicate-based coolant that offers protection against corrosion, limescale, and internal degradation of the cooling system.<\/p>\n

        In addition, waterless coolant is an excellent alternative. It prevents internal corrosion, reduces the risk of boiling problems, and offers extra protection for classic engines.<\/p>\n

            Allow the cooling system to cool down completely and drain all coolant until the system is completely empty. Next, remove the water pump and carefully clean all sealing and mating surfaces. Remove all residues of old gaskets and sealants. We also recommend cleaning and flushing the entire cooling system. Check all components of the cooling system and replace them if necessary.<\/p>\n

              Always install the new water pump with a new gasket. Tighten the mounting bolts to the torque specified by the vehicle manufacturer and check that the pump can rotate freely.<\/p>\n
