This high-quality gasket is intended for the steering cover at the front of the cylinder head, behind the distributor cap/ignition. For a Mercedes M103 engine. The gasket ensures a reliable seal and prevents oil leakage.

Additional information

1. Prevents oil leakage at the cylinder head steering cover.
2. Clean the sealing surfaces carefully before installing the new gasket.
3. For a proper seal, liquid gasket is also required. Apply this exclusively to the vertical mating surfaces between the handlebar cover and the cylinder head.
4. We recommend this. Curil T2 or Dirko HT. In our workshop, we prefer Curil T2 due to the excellent sealing and easy disassembly for future maintenance. In addition, Curil T2 offers a significant advantage: should a small excess inadvertently enter the engine or automatic transmission, the material does not remain behind as hard residue. As a result, the risk of clogging oil channels, oil filters, or strainers is minimal, and the risk of engine damage or damage to the automatic transmission is significantly reduced.

Recommended additional components

1. Simultaneously replace the rotor shaft oil seal, article number MB-0189977947-MOT-NB.
2. Replace the valve cover gasket at the same time, part number MB-1030160421-MOT-NB.
3. Always change the engine oil after the repair and use the following for this: REKTOL SF 15W40 or REKTOL SF 20W50, available in this webshop
