Important
For air and fuel filters, it is recommended to replace the filter every 6 to 8 years, regardless of the number of kilometers driven. The filter material consists of special filter paper whose filtering properties gradually deteriorate due to aging. Even in vehicles that are driven infrequently, the filter paper can dry out, harden, or lose its original filtering effectiveness.
In K-Jetronic injection systems, a clean and unobstructed fuel supply is of particular importance. A clogged or aged fuel filter can lead to pressure loss in the fuel system, irregular idling, starting problems, and reduced engine performance.
When replacing the fuel filter, also check the fuel tank for rust or contamination. Rust particles from the tank can quickly clog the new fuel filter and cause damage to fuel pumps, the fuel distributor, and other components of the K-Jetronic injection system. Timely cleaning or repairing of a rusted fuel tank can prevent costly repairs.
Always check before purchase and installation whether the part is suitable and equivalent based on photos, description, and specifications; installed or used parts cannot be returned.
