This fuel return hose is mounted in the engine compartment and returns excess fuel from the fuel distributor to the return line towards the fuel tank. A properly functioning return hose is important for stable fuel pressure and reliable operation of the injection system.

This version is manufactured to the highest possible quality and features a vinyl inner layer, in accordance with the original Mercedes version. The vinyl inner layer offers excellent resistance to modern fuels and contributes to a long service life of the hose.

Reproduce

We are currently investigating the possibilities of reproducing this fuel hose in the same highest quality, including the original version with a vinyl inner layer.

Due to aging, both the rubber outer layer and the vinyl inner layer can harden or become damaged. This increases the risk of fuel leakage and reduced fuel flow. Preventive replacement is therefore recommended, especially for older Mercedes models.

Important

The vinyl inner layer prevents fuel components from penetrating the rubber and contributes to a long service life and constant fuel flow. After many years, this inner layer can also age. Preventive replacement prevents malfunctions and fuel leakage.

When replacing the fuel hoses, also check the other fuel hoses, hose clamps, and connections for drying out, cracking, and leakage. For classic Mercedes models, it is recommended to replace aging fuel hoses preventively to prevent malfunctions and fuel leakage.
