Important

• After installation, check that the plug is correctly locked and that there are no leaks or error messages.
• Carefully clean the area around the transmission before disassembly and reassembly to prevent contamination of the gearbox.
• The installation of the guide plate must be carried out in accordance with the transmission manufacturer's instructions.
• For the correct operation of the automatic transmission, precise mounting and positioning of the guide plate is necessary.
• After installation, it is recommended to read out the transmission and check or clear any fault codes.
• Work on the automatic gearbox should preferably be carried out by qualified personnel with knowledge of Mercedes automatic transmissions.
• Incorrect installation can lead to shifting problems, limp mode, or transmission control fault messages.

Tip

Change the automatic transmission oil not only according to mileage intervals, but at least every 8 years. Even with infrequent driving, the transmission oil ages, causing its lubricating and protective properties to diminish. Regular changes contribute to a longer lifespan and reliable operation of the automatic transmission.
