Tip

When installing this filter in a plastic Mercedes oil filter housing, the filter cover must not be tightened too much. For most applications with this filter, a tightening torque of applies. 25 Nm. Always use a torque wrench to prevent damage to the plastic cover or the filter housing.

Lightly moisten the O-rings with clean engine oil before installation. This prevents damage to the seals and ensures smooth installation and a good seal.
