This high-quality fuel hose has a length of 39.5 cm and is installed in the engine compartment as part of the fuel system. The hose forms the supply line from the fuel tank to the KA-Jetronic fuel distributor in Mercedes models without a fuel cooler. This version was used on vehicles up to the model change (Mopf) with the KA-Jetronic injection system. It is a direct replacement for the original Mercedes fuel hose with OEM number 107 470 32 75.

After decades, the original Mercedes fuel hoses often need replacing. The original Mercedes fuel hoses feature a hard vinyl layer on the inside, while the outside consists of rubber. Due to aging, the vinyl layer becomes hard and brittle. At the same time, the rubber outer layer also gradually loses its elasticity and strength. As a result, the hose can tear or even break off completely without clear warning. This can lead to fuel leakage, starting problems, and, in the worst case, a fire hazard.

Therefore, always check during maintenance whether the hose is still firmly attached to the connections. This fuel hose is slid over the connections at the factory without hose clamps. Due to aging, the rubber outer layer gradually loses its elasticity and clamping effect, causing the hose to sit less tightly on the connections.

If the hose can be easily twisted or pulled from the connection without significant force, it must be replaced immediately. This is a clear indication that the hose has lost its clamping effect and the risk of fuel leakage has increased significantly.

For this reason, we recommend replacing all remaining original Mercedes fuel hoses preventively, even if they still look good on the outside. With these hoses, the age of the material is a much more significant risk factor than the number of kilometers driven.
