This high-quality heater valve is a precisely manufactured reproduction of the original Mercedes part. The valve regulates the flow of coolant to the heater radiator and ensures that the interior heating functions correctly.

A worn or defective heater valve can lead to poorly adjustable interior temperature, insufficient heating capacity, or coolant leakage. Often, a defect is easy to recognize by cracks or drying out of the valve's rubber diaphragm. When this diaphragm becomes damaged, the electromagnetic control must exert more force to operate the valve. As a result, the underlying electrical components can eventually be damaged as well.

Assembly tip

Before disassembly, always ensure that the engine has completely cooled down and that there is no longer any pressure in the cooling system. Next, remove the electrical connector and loosen the mounting screws of the upper part of the heater valve. Carefully lift the entire upper part by the protruding end of the heater valve to prevent the coil wires from breaking. The heater valve can then be replaced. Take care not to damage the coil wires or other electrical components. Afterwards, reassemble all parts in reverse order.

Important

When replacing the heater valve, it is advisable to check the entire cooling system for leaks and to assess the condition of the coolant, coolant hoses, and hose clamps. Change the coolant at least every 5 years to prevent internal corrosion and contamination of the cooling system. You can also find the correct coolant in our webshop.
