Backrest hinge / seat fitting repair kit – Mercedes R107

This high-quality repair kit has been developed to repair the seat hardware (backrest adjustment) of the Mercedes R107. A common problem is that the backrest sinks backwards on its own while driving. This is caused by the original friction ring in the seat hardware drying out and crumbling after decades, causing the built-in friction brake to lose its effectiveness.
With this complete repair kit, the original seat hardware can be refurbished so that the backrest remains firmly in the desired position. This avoids the high costs of replacing entire seat hardware sets and allows you to retain the original Mercedes parts.

Important
For a professional repair, the seats and seat fittings must be completely removed and disassembled. During the overhaul, also check the bearings, bushings, and connecting shaft for wear. If the seat fitting exhibits excessive play, the supplied PTFE shims can be used to eliminate this play and restore the original operation of the mechanism.
Always check before purchase and installation whether the part is suitable and equivalent based on photos, description, and specifications; installed or used parts cannot be returned.
